NOLA New Orleans Food Review: Ruby Slippers Café 🍳✨
Woke up this morning—thanks to a flight delay—just in time for brunch! 🛌➡️🥞 Headed straight to Ruby Slippers Café to check it out. Here’s what we ordered: • Trifecta: Three delicious benedicts—shredded beef, fried chicken, and shrimp patty. My favorite was the shrimp! 🍤 It came with a Cajun-style seafood dipping sauce that added a nice kick. • Sweet Heat Chicken & French Toast Bites: Surprisingly tasty! 🍗🍓 Never thought I’d see fried chicken paired with strawberries, but the sweet-spicy glaze tasted almost like Korean fried chicken. The French toast bites were deep-fried—so crispy and decadent. Carbs heaven! 🧡 • Ham Benedict: Also gave this a try—salty ham with perfectly poached eggs. Simple but satisfying! 🥚 Their coffee was pretty good too! ☕ Heads up—this place gets busy, so be prepared to wait. Try going early or making a reservation if you can! 📍 204 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70130 Have you been to Ruby Slippers? What’s your go-to brunch dish when you’re in NOLA?
