North America Taste Test | An Authentic Italian Restaurant in Albany
I've heard this is the go-to spot for Italian families to gather! And sure enough, today there was a big table of Italians here enjoying themselves and eating happily [👍]. Caperes salad ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This salad had a delicious combination of flavors, and the seasoning and ingredients were good too. However, they were incredibly generous with the olive oil. Risotto fungi ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Giving this three stars feels a bit strict, I know.) A very fragrant big bowl of rice. The server asks how much cheese you want on it. Because it's already quite rich, adding a little less cheese might make it less heavy! Overall, it was okay, but the mushrooms were a bit overdone/tough. Penne romanoff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think they use fresh tomatoes! This tasted nothing like the American-style tomato pasta. The tomato flavor was rich and fragrant. The pasta was cooked perfectly – not too soft, with a great chew. The thickness of the noodles was just right, making it very easy to eat. The sauce was rich but not overly thick. I would come back again just for this pasta! And maybe try the fried calamari rings next time~ 🍽️ Grappa '72 📍 818 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 # Grappa '72 #fooddiary#Albany#Albanyfood#ItalianRestaurant#Italianfood#NewYork
