North Carolina Life | Duke🌸 Duke Gardens—Cherry Blossom Season!

It's almost that time of year again—cherry blossom season! 🌸 If you're planning to visit Washington, D.C., to see the cherry blossoms, consider stopping by Duke Gardens first to soak up the spring vibes here. Duke Gardens is vast and divided into four distinct areas, each featuring plants and styles representative of different regions. The cherry blossom path at the entrance, the Italian-style terraced garden, and the iconic red Japanese bridge are all must-see spots. They're perfect for taking photos and also great for a relaxing stroll to rejuvenate your mind and body. 🌸 ⚠️ Recent Important Notes Parking and Entry: ⭐️ The main parking lot at Duke University and Duke Gardens is under construction and only open on Saturdays and Sundays. ⭐️ On weekdays, you can park at the nearby visitor lot, which has plenty of spaces. ⭐️ Parking is paid and only accepts online payments (you need to download an app to pay), no cash or cards accepted. Cherry Blossom Status: ✨ The cherry blossoms at Duke Gardens haven't bloomed yet, and the cherry blossom path is still bare. ✨ Check the Duke Gardens website before you go—they offer a live cherry blossom stream to avoid a wasted trip. Dog Owners, Take Note: Dogs are not allowed in the garden from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Plan your visit accordingly. Feel free to share your favorite photos of Duke Gardens from your phone! If you've been there, drop a comment and share your experience. 🌸 ✨ Sarah P.
