Norwegian Classic Roasted Crispy Pork 🍖

Don't miss out on the little piggy! 💰 Average cost per person: Kr 400-500 A traditional Norwegian restaurant filled with piggy elements, from the sculptures at the entrance, the interior decorations, menu designs, wall hangings, staff uniforms, to even the restaurant's merchandise, it's all about the piggy theme 🐷 Especially the staff uniforms, they're really cute! Aside from the piggy elements, the restaurant's food tastes great too. I ordered two main dishes, both classic Norwegian pork dishes, and they were neither greasy nor fishy without any weird flavors, and the portions were huge! Here's a simple record: 🍖 Langgrillet svineknoke —— Kr396 This roasted pork is the restaurant's signature dish, and I guess everyone comes for this dish. It's made from the pork knuckle, with only one large bone and has been roasted for at least 5 hours, making it easy to remove the bone. The skin is incredibly crispy, so crispy that it's a bit hard to cut at first, while the pork inside is very tender. Words fail to describe how delicious it is, so please see the live pictures to see how tempting it is. Overall, it's salty and incredibly fragrant without any weird flavors! The portion is huge, so big that two people couldn't finish it and we ended up taking it to go. 🥗 Grisens lapskaus —— Kr235 Although this dish is also made of pork, it tastes completely different from the pork knuckle. The pork here is softer and more tender, and surprisingly, it tastes fresh and sweet when paired with potatoes and carrots. It also comes with large crispy chips, which I also like. Again, two people couldn't finish it. Additional note: The restaurant is located in the city center, and Oslo itself isn't very big, so it's convenient to go anywhere after dinner. I didn't make a reservation and went there at lunchtime, no queue. The little piggies are really cute! Haha Summary: Please make sure to visit, especially if you like pork, over. #Oslo #OsloCuisine #Oslo #Norway #NorwegianCuisine #NorwegianRestaurant #NorwegianRoastPork #CrispyRoastPork
