Norwich One-Day Tour Map|Strolling Through a Medieval City 🕰

The seventh stop of my UK tour brought me to Norwich, an ancient city in eastern England. Thirty well-preserved medieval churches stand beneath Norman castles, making you feel like you’re wandering through medieval streets 📜 Over a thousand years ago, Norwich was already one of England’s largest cities and was historically known as "the capital outside London" 👑 🎥 Though ancient, the southern corner of the city (Stop 9⃣ on the map) served as a filming location for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. As a long-time Marvel fan, I nearly cried on the spot! Norwich One-Day Tour Map (see detailed map in ) ⏱ Total time: ~5 hours | 👣 Steps: ~14,000 Route Details: 1⃣ Norwich Cathedral Norwich’s Cathedral of the Holy Trinity . A landmark and one of the UK’s largest, best-preserved Norman buildings. Its massive stained-glass windows are stunning. → 2⃣ Elm Hill A beautifully preserved medieval street dotted with quirky graffiti and artisan shops. → 3⃣ Norwich Lanes A modern shopping district in the city center . The picturesque alley from the cover photois here. Don’t miss Cafe Gelato nearby—hugely popular, affordable (£4.90 for 3 scoops). Must-try flavors: taro, vanilla, chocolate 🍨. → 4⃣ Norwich Market A vibrant market beneath Norman castle walls, selling local crafts, souvenirs, and food. Right next to the city center. → 5⃣ The Forum A large shopping center with a UFO-like glass dome 🛸 . Perfect for a coffee break. → 6⃣ The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Another magnificent medieval cathedral featuring grand stained-glass windows → 7⃣ Vietnam Pho Authentic Vietnamese restaurant 🇻🇳. Highly recommend the Phở Tàu Bay —£13 for a huge, flavor-packed bowl. Skip the beef balls (£9 for 6 tiny pieces—total rip-off!). → 8⃣ University of East Anglia (UEA) A campus known for nurturing renowned writers and filmmakers. Its Soviet-industrial architecture is striking. → 9⃣ Sainsbury Centre UEA’s art gallery and the Avengers: Age of Ultron finale filming location! As a die-hard fan, I felt like stepping right into the movie. The gallery itself is worth visiting —entry is just £2. #Norwich #London #DayTripsFromLondon #UKTowns #Avengers #FilmLocations #Marvel #UK #UKTravel #UKStudents
