🥩 Not a Particularly Outstanding Steakhouse – But Not Bad!
As a long-established steakhouse in London, Guinea Grill has always been on my list – yet somehow, I only made it there for the first time last Thursday for dinner. We originally planned to start with a drink at the bar, but it was completely packed, with only standing room available outside. We skipped that and headed straight to the dining area – which, thankfully, was fully separated from the bar and much quieter. 🍻🚪 The place absolutely oozes that classic British pub vibe – cozy, rustic, and full of character. However, I was a bit disappointed by the surprisingly small table sizes. My friend and I both ordered the bone-in ribeye and lamb chops, along with sides of chips, creamed spinach, and carrots. 🥩🍟🥕 They do offer an impressive selection of red wines – over 10 options available by the glass – which was a nice touch. 🍷✨ The food was quite tasty – all the meat was cooked to a consistent pink perfection. The desserts, however, didn’t quite excite us – we tried the chocolate mousse and pecan pie, which were decent but not memorable. 🍫🥧 One recurring issue was the table size – some of the side dishes had to be placed directly on our plates because there simply wasn’t enough room on the table! 😅 Service was very friendly, and everything moved along smoothly. Our total bill came to £320 for two, with around £130 of that spent on drinks. 💸📃 All in all, it was a perfectly fine steakhouse experience – though it wouldn’t be my top choice in London. #GuineaGrill #LondonSteakhouse #ClassicVibes #SteakReview #WineSelection #CrowdedBar
