Not Bad Baillotte
đ Address: 16 Rue du Dragon, 75006 Paris â€ïžI came across some recommendations for this place and thought Iâd give it a try. Overall, it was good, but itâs not something Iâd say is a must-visit or divine. The restaurant seems quite popular among Japanese people, which might explain its fame within that community. â€ïžThe portions were generous. For the appetizer, I had fried beef tongue, which had an unexpectedly tender texture and was served with refreshing side dishes. For the main course, I chose a vegetarian optionâa big bowl of radish salad. Each dish was delicately flavored, and they even provided five different sauces to pair with the French dishes, making it feel like spring had arrived. My friend ordered fish and said it was very tender. â€ïžI particularly enjoyed the dessertâa chai tea soufflĂ©. When it arrived, it was freshly baked, still hot and firm. We had to DIY by pouring the chai tea into it ourselves. It was served with a citrus sorbet, which added a refreshing touch. I loved the concept, and the soufflĂ© itself was well-baked, though the sweetness was quite intense, typical of French desserts. â€ïžThe Limousin veal shoulder was a highlight, especially the side dishes. Each bite felt like solving a puzzle, even making the pears feel mysterious. Very interesting! The classic French dessert Mont Blanc was a perfect ending. The subtle chestnut flavor was enhanced by the unique combination of Japanese yuzu and orange liqueur ice cream. The sweetness was just right, hitting the taste buds perfectly. Overall, it was a good experience! #food #gastronomy #artfulcuisine
