Nozomi New York Williamsburg Omakase Delight: Uni Galore! π£
Today, my friend and I visited Nozomi Omakase in Brooklyn's Williamsburg. Upon arrival, we learned they had a new chef and were experimenting with a new menu. We were lucky to be there just in time to try something fresh! π π’ Appetizers: πChawan-mushi with Uni and Roe: The egg custard was pretty standard, but the generous portion of uni was incredibly fresh and sweet. The roe was firm and bouncy. π Horse Mackerel with Yuzu Sauce: The fish paired well with the tangy yuzu sauce. It was a nice combination. π π Wagyu with Roe and Bean Sprouts: The wagyu was tender and slightly chewy, with a rich flavor. π Nigiri: There were seven pieces in total. The fatty tuna was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the sweet shrimp was soft and sweet, and the aged king salmon was also very tasty. πΈ The scallop wasn't as sweet as I expected, but the California uni was large and had a slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, the seasoning was light, emphasizing the natural flavors of the ingredients. π£ Seafood Main: A bowl of uni riceβdefinitely satisfying! π£ π Meat Main: The lamb chop was probably the highlight of the meal. The chef had some creative touches. The lamb was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and Parmesan cheese. π πDessert: The dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the chef's freshly baked cookies were very thoughtful. πͺ Overall, it was a great experience. The ingredients were high-quality, especially the generous portions of uni. I felt very satisfied! π π 130 Grand St CU2, Brooklyn, NY 11249 #NewYork #Manhattan #Flushing ππ
