NTT Intercommunication Centre
ππΈMy first invitation to exhibit at a major Tokyo art museum has come to a successful close! π This past spring, out of the blue, I received an email from the curator of ICC (officially known as the NTT Intercommunication Centre). They had seen my graduation exhibition work and loved it, inviting me to showcase my art in the museum's annual exhibition this year. ππΈ I was ecstaticβfeeling like a major highlight in my life was on the horizon. ππΈThe museum's annual exhibition features a section called "emergencies!" dedicated to introducing up-and-coming artists. Each year, two artists are selected to hold exhibitions lasting about two months each, in two separate installments. I was the second artist for this year. ππΈ I reimagined and reconstructed my undergraduate graduation project, a 38-minute radio drama and video installation titled "We Who Are About to Fall into Point Nemo" ,which I had originally displayed at my graduation show last year. Thanks to the museum's support, I was able to paint the walls and floor a light grey and custom-build a wall to create symmetry in the space, achieving an exhibition landscape I had never dared to dream of. ππΈ I am grateful for all the wonderful connections that have given my artistic career such a beautiful start. #Tokyo ππ
