All aboard—Grand Central just got...tasty?! The MTA has officially [welcomed](https://www.mta.info/press-release/tracks-raw-bar-grill-opens-grand-central-madison) Tracks Raw Bar & Grill, the beloved Penn Station staple, to its brand-new home inside Grand Central Madison. Known for its railroad-themed décor, fresh seafood, and loyal commuter crowd, Tracks now takes center stage as the first restaurant to open in the LIRR’s east side terminal. With more seating, new retailers on the way, and record ridership filling the station daily, this hidden gem is set to bring a whole new buzz to one of NYC’s busiest transit hubs. A Legendary Penn Station Bar Finds a New Track ---------------------------------------------- For nearly two decades, Tracks was a Penn Station institution before moving to West 31st Street in 2019 during the concourse rebuild. Now, it’s circling back—expanding with a Grand Central Madison location while still maintaining its 31st Street outpost. Plans are also underway for a brand-new Penn Station space, making this a triple play for loyal straphangers who can’t resist a pint and a plate before their commute home. The Story Behind Tracks Raw Bar & Grill --------------------------------------- Tracks is the brainchild of Bruce Caulfield, a lifetime New Yorker and Irish-American restaurateur. Along with his father, John, and partners Patrick and Michael O’Brien, Bruce wanted to build a spot that mixed the warmth of an [Irish pub](https://secretnyc.co/best-irish-pubs-new-york-city/) with the quality of fine dining —without breaking the commuter wallet. The restaurant became a labor of love, packed with railroad history, vintage prints, and even a rare model of the 1964 World’s Fair subway car. For trainspotters, the décor alone is worth the visit. What’s on the Menu at Tracks Grand Central ------------------------------------------ Seafood is the star here, thanks to a locally sourced raw bar. Diners can slurp oysters from both coasts—think Prince Edward Island, Oyster Bay, and Long Island’s Great South Bay—or dive into hearty pub favorites. Highlights include: * 🥣 Award-Winning Chowder * 🐔 Cajun Chicken Sandwich * 🧀 Bubbly Mac & Cheese * 🥩 Grilled Steak Sandwich on a Baguette * 🍗 Root Beer Battered Chicken Tenders Of course, Tracks wouldn’t be Tracks without the drinks. Expect perfectly poured Guinness, ice-cold martinis, and a rotating lineup of craft cocktails —all served from noon until midnight daily (with the kitchen open 3-10 pm). With 70,000 riders passing through the new terminal each day, Tracks is expected to be the first of many exciting food and retail spots coming soon.
