NYC|SUKI DESU 🍣 An UES Hidden Gem!

During a work break, I stumbled upon this cozy Japanese spot on Google Maps—the photos looked amazing, and it was listed as $20-30 per person. I knew I had to try it! This Friday, I headed over right after work. The moment I stepped in—wow! It’s small, dimly lit, and so warm… the vibe was just perfect! 🏮 The menu is simple and focused, featuring donburi bowls as their main dishes. I went all out and ordered the priciest one ($28, hehe!). We started with the Yellowtail Sashimi—incredibly fresh and tender, with a rich aroma. Then came the star: the donburi bowl. The server advised me to mix it thoroughly, enjoy half of it, and then let her know to add broth. Let me tell you—it was ABSOLUTELY FLAVORFUL! 😋 So fragrant and umami-rich that even those who usually avoid raw fish should give it a try. By the end of the meal, I felt completely refreshed and happy! Though next time, I might add the broth a bit later—I felt it slightly cooked the remaining fish, and I prefer it fully raw. Still, no regrets. This was one of those rare meals that made me want to post about it immediately. So. Darn. Good. I’m obsessed!!! ❤️ 📍 SUKI DESU 217 E 85th St, New York, NY 10028 #NYCSushi #UESEats #JapaneseFoodNYC #NYCFoodFind
