NYC | Budget Eats Review (Tourist Edition) ๐ฝ๐
Dining in NYC doesnโt always have to break the bank! During my 3-day trip, I tried some popular and relatively affordable spots โ hereโs the honest take: ๐ Julianaโs Pizza (Dumbo, Brooklyn) Half Margherita ๐ + Half White (garky & cheesy). Tasty but heavy โ skip the tiny overpriced Coke ๐ ~$20/pp ๐ Los Tacos No.1 ๐ฎ (Chain) Rank: Pork > Chicken > Beef. A bit spicy, DIY salsa bar! ~$5/taco (but youโll need 2-3 to feel anything). ๐ Izakaya Mew ๐ถ My TOP meal! โญ Kimchi Cream Udon (rich but not heavy) Double Hamachi Roll (fresh & flavorful) Kirin Frozen ๐บ Skip: Wings & Rainbow Roll (just okay). ~$50/pp โ reserve ahead! ๐ Liberty Bagels ๐ฅฏ HUGE Montreal-style bagels. Blueberry cream cheese = too sweet. Scallion = safer choice. ~$5 with spread. ๐ Katzโs Delicatessen ๐ฅช Chaotic ordering but worth it! Pastrami Sandwich = ๐ (mustard a bit strong though). $30/sandwich (feeds two). ๐ Adelโs Famous Halal Food ๐ Great value! Yellow rice = mild, red rice = spicy, white sauce = refreshing. ~$10/plate. ๐ซ Magnolia Bakery โ Banana Pudding Overhyped sugar bomb ๐ต ๐ซ Shu Jiao Fu Zhou Google lied ๐ค 4.6 stars?! Tasted like expired fish balls & MSG soup. Avoid!!! #NYConABudget #NYCFood #TravelEats #FoodReview #NYCBargainBites
