NYC Chinese Delivery – Real Talk After Trying 9 Spots 🥡💬
Being in New York for work means one thing: a lot of takeout. I ordered my way through some of the city’s popular Chinese spots — some hit, some missed. Here’s my honest rundown: 1️⃣ Zheli As a native of Zhejiang, I didn’t taste much of home here — but the Congee with Tofu & Crab Roe was solid over rice (a bit salty on its own). Their Meiling Porridge was a standout — creamy and comforting. 2️⃣ Waipo Jia A taste of Hangzhou pride! The Braised Pork Belly was tender, sweet, and not greasy. Passed my standards with flying colors 🏠 3️⃣ Luo Noodle House Lamb rice noodles — clear broth, tender meat, generous portion. A warm and satisfying pick. 4️⃣ Jin Huang Bao Bao Hao They deliver clay pot rice in the actual pot — stays warm, but loses some of that fresh-from-the-kitchen crispness. 5️⃣ Go Chin Khao Man Gai Hainanese Chicken Rice — juicy, silky, bursting with flavor. An easy repeat order. 6️⃣ Crab Bao Stuffed with filling, but salty and overpriced. Not a rebuy. 7️⃣ Yang Guofu Malatang Lots of ingredients to choose from, but the broth is seriously oily. I rinse mine in hot water before eating 💧 8️⃣ Si Si Nan Cun Beef Noodle Three-combo rice with brisket, tendon, and tripe — hearty and fulfilling. The bean sprouts added a nice crunch. 9️⃣ We Noodle Jiangxi-style rice noodles in a tangy broth. Lots of tender tripe — decent value. Some delivered comfort, some missed the mark — but that’s the takeout game. Got a favorite spot I didn’t try? Let me know! #NYCTakeout #ChineseFoodNYC #DeliveryReview #ComfortInABox #EatLikeALocal
