NYC Hot Pot 🍲|As a Sichuan Native, I’ll Always Trust Xiaolongkan! 👍
For Sichuan people, Xiaolongkan is that reliable spot—maybe not an everyday choice, but you know it’ll deliver. Graduation dinners, catching up with old friends—Xiaolongkan is always a solid pick for good vibes and consistent flavor. Since hearing it opened in NYC, I’ve been wanting to try it, and finally went with a hot-pot-loving friend. 🍴 Xiaolongkan Hot Pot 📍 22 E 13th St, New York, NY 10003 Their self-serve sauce bar is impressive! Marinated bamboo tripe, cold appetizers, super juicy oranges 🍊, and free ice jelly (bingfen)—which usually costs $5–6 a bowl elsewhere. Yes, bingfen freedom is real here! We ordered a split pot: 🌶️ Spicy broth (mild) – Flavorful and just spicy enough. My friend loved it. 🍅 Tomato broth – Rich and naturally sweet, clearly simmered from real tomatoes. Notable dishes: 🐮 Beef Tongue – Fresh, generous portion. 🥩 Wagyu Shoulder – Beautiful marbling, tender and creamy even after boiling. 🍢 Spicy Chicken Gizzard – A classic Sichuan skewer favorite I finally found again in NYC! Overall, Xiaolongkan really impressed me—it tastes just like the hot pot back home. A friendly tip: start with mild spice—it’s plenty flavorful already! #NYC #Foodie #FoodLife #Xiaolongkan #HotPot #SpicyHotPot #NYCExploration #NYCFood #NYCHotPot #NYCChineseFood #SichuanHotPot #NYCEats #FreeIceJelly #ComfortFoodNYC #GroupDining
