🌺 Oʻahu Food Guide Vol. 2 – Fresh Picks from Yelp & Local Gems!

Sorry for the long wait — life’s been busy! 😅 Finally back with a new food roundup, this time mixing in some Yelp finds and classic favorites: 1️⃣ PAIA Fish Market – Waikiki 📍 2299 Kūhiō Ave., Honolulu A lively spot right near the main strip in Waikiki. 🐟 Went for the Mahimahi sautéed in garlic butter & lemon — so fresh and flaky! 🍟 Served with fries (other sides were sold out late night). 💵 Around $30 per person — solid value! 2️⃣ Aloha Melt 📍 355 Royal Hawaiian Ave, Honolulu Calling all grilled cheese lovers! 🧀 🥓 Tried the Aloha Patty Melt — seasoned ground beef + crispy bacon between buttery toasted bread. Simple, greasy, and SO satisfying. 📍 Also super close to Waikiki’s main action. 3️⃣ Fresh Sweet Shrimp Spot 📍 1125 Ala Moana Blvd. D-104 🦐 The famous $40 for 3 lbs of sweet shrimp — fresh, sweet, and unbeatable for the price! 🚤 Pickup is from an unmarked boat in the harbor (true local vibe 😆). 🅿️ Plenty of parking nearby. 💡 Tip: Bring a cooler and someone to share with — it’s a lot of shrimp! 4️⃣ Jenny’s Shrimp Truck – North Shore 📍 66-532 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa 🍤 Yes, it’s popular for a reason! 🧈 Garlic butter shrimp served with rice and a slice of lemon — fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. 🌴 A North Shore must! 5️⃣ Matsumoto Shave Ice 📍 66-111 Kamehameha HwyHaleiwa 🍧 A Haleiwa classic — super affordable at $3–5! Simple, icy, and refreshing (not super rich or creamy). 🥯 In the same plaza: Island Vintage — grab an ube bagel while you’re there! 6️⃣ Totoya – Ala Moana 📍 436 Piikoi St SUITE B, Honolulu 🐟 Two locations — this one tends to be less crowded. 🍣 Tried the popular uni + crab + tuna bowl — good, but the daily special bowl was even better! 👌 Fresh fish, generous portions — a reliable Japanese spot. #HawaiiFoodGuide #OahuEats #SweetShrimp #HawaiianLocalEats #NorthShoreBites
