Oakland Depot Restaurant🍴｜An Amazing First Meal After Landing!

Saw mixed reviews online but decided to try Depot anyway—and it totally surpassed expectations. So good! 🦪 Seafood Delight The oysters and fish sashimi were incredibly fresh—we finished them in two minutes! As someone from the coast in China, I was genuinely impressed by the seafood here 😂 🥩 Steak & Sides Steak was juicy and tender, served with fragrant fried onions. The fries were salty, crispy, and quite different from what we’re used to back home. 🐟 Surprise Fish Burger Crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside cod with a soft bun—not greasy at all, just perfectly satisfying. 🍹 Drinks Beer and a cocktail paired nicely with the seafood. 🎂 Birthday Surprise We happened to celebrate a birthday there. Even though they don’t serve cake, the chef put a candle on our dessert and the staff sang “Happy Birthday”—so heartwarming abroad 😭 💸 About NZD $200 for two, good value. Walked in at 5 PM without a reservation and got the last indoor table (place was packed outside). 🌟 A truly perfect and memorable meal!
