π³ Off-the-Beaten-Path Travel Destination - The Huntington π³
This place is still quite under the radar, with few Chinese tourists. It's mostly frequented by local residents or schools bringing children for visits. Its location is a bit far from the tourist areas, and the site itself isn't too large. It's recommended to arrive at 10 am, spend 2 hours wandering, and then have a meal on-site. π°οΈ Operating Hours: 10 am - 5 pm. Last entry at 4:15 pm. Closed on Tuesdays (don't run empty-handed!) π« Ticket Purchase: Buy directly on the official website, The Huntington. You need to choose your entry time in advance. The ticket price is $25, which is quite reasonable considering the art gallery and botanical gardens within. The combination of culture and nature is excellent. π΄ Dining: There's a 1919 Cafe restaurant near the exit, and Chinese cuisine is also available at the Chinese garden. Must-Visit Gardens: πΉ Rose Garden: It depends on the season. I went in May, and there were many rose varieties, but the locals say it's not the most beautiful time. It's up to luck. πͺ¨ Chinese Garden: Initially, I didn't want to go, thinking I'd seen enough gardens in Suzhou, but I was still amazed when I visited. They really moved Shou Mountain stones to LA. π΅ Desert Garden: Having seen the vast deserts of Dunhuang, experienced dune bashing in Dubai, and felt the extreme dryness of Las Vegas, it was my first time truly seeing so many desert plants, strange and interesting shapes. It's my favorite garden! π¨ American Art: There are many paintings and traditional furniture pieces. There's a lot to explore.
