Ohara Museum of Art 🌟
#JapanTravelDiary #The Ohara Museum of Art is located in Shibuya, Tokyo, established in 1980. 🍃🌺 It is a private art museum built based on the personal collection of Japanese industrialist Genshō Ōta, and it is also one of the three major ukiyo-e collections in Japan. The museum currently holds about 14,000 pieces, including over 10,000 ukiyo-e prints, around 500 ink-painted ukiyo-e (ukiyo-e drawn with brushes), and about 200 pieces of related materials. 🌇 Important collections include Kitagawa Utamaro's "Beauty Reading a Jade Chapter," Katsushika Hokusai's "Tiger in the Rain," and Utagawa Kunisada's "Popular Heroes of the Water Margin - Dragon Stirring the River Li Jun," etc. 🍃🌺 Every month, 70 to 100 pieces from the collection are selected for exhibition based on different themes, showcasing the charm of ukiyo-e from various perspectives. 🖼️ #Tokyo 🌇
