๐Ÿš„ Okayama, Kansai - One-Day Travel Guide ๐Ÿ‘‰

๐Ÿš… Okayama Station (Reachable from Osaka in 48 minutes on the Sanyo Shinkansen) ๐Ÿจ Kuretake Inn Okayama (Highly recommended!) For less than 5000yen on weekdays, you get a room with ample space and a fantastic street view! ๐Ÿ™๏ธ Not only that, but this price includes a buffet breakfast for two (verified, the breakfast here is quite lavish for a budget hotel in Japan), and each person can get a free draft beer every night at the lounge on the first floor. This place is definitely the king of cost-performance among the hotels I've stayed at in Kansai! ๐Ÿ‘‘ ๐Ÿป Mori Okonomiyaki Mori A popular izakaya, reservations are needed for peak dining times. (Verified, going off-peak at 5 pm gets you a seat) The menu is limited, focusing on oyster okonomiyaki and teppanyaki udon. Since it's cooked on a hot plate right in front of you, the udon has an amazing wok aroma. ๐Ÿณ The restaurant has a homey style where you take off your shoes and sit on the floor, mostly frequented by locals, very atmospheric. ๐Ÿด ๐Ÿœ Dantotsu Ramen Okayama Ichiban Store This place is all about portion size (the photo doesn't do justice to the visual impact). Four sizes are available, and the smallest bowl is enough for those with smaller appetites (I ordered the third largest, which was about twice the size of a regular bowl at other places ๐Ÿ˜…). The original flavor ramen can have up to 6 times the amount of bean sprouts (you'll see a mountain of sprouts just like in the picture ๐Ÿคฃ), and if you like spicy, go for the red ramen without hesitation, it's super tasty! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ™๏ธ Okayama City is not very big, and the main sightseeing route is as follows: ๐Ÿ“Ujo Park ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ“Okayama Castle ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ“Tsukimi Bridge ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ“Okayama Korakuen (closes at 6 pm, mind the time!) ๐Ÿ•” โ€ผ๏ธ Since you're in Okayama, don't miss ๐Ÿ“Kurashiki Kanki, only a 17-minute drive away (for more details, check out another post in my collection). If you want a schedule, you can visit Kurashiki Kanki in the morning and return to Okayama in the afternoon to follow the route above, which is completely doable. ๐Ÿ˜Ž #Japan #OffTheBeatenPath #KansaiTravel #Okayama #MobilePhotograp
