🌲 Okutama One-Day Super Detailed Travel Guide 🌲
Just outside Tokyo lies the idyllic Okutama, a true haven away from the hustle and bustle! With its pleasant scenery and rich landscapes, you can climb high for a panoramic view or play in the water. There are suspension bridges, shrines, sacred trees, waterfalls, and hot springs. Perfect for a weekend getaway to escape the city and return to nature, to breathe in the oxygen and recharge, leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated. 😁 🚌 Transportation: Shinjuku ➡️ Okutama, take the Chuo Line Ogawa ➡️ Kuri Station, take the Ogawa Line ‼️ Be mindful of the express train timings back to Shinjuku from Okutawa 🚶 Hiking Route: Kuri Station ➡️ Okutama Station 🚶🚶🚶 The entire hike is 8 kilometers long. We started at 1:30 PM and arrived at Okutama Station by 5 PM. We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain vibes and loved taking detours for photos, which made our journey longer. The trail markers are quite clear throughout, making it friendly for those who aren't great at navigating! 😁 Starting from Kuri Station, there's a section on the road where you can hear the water but can't yet enter the forest, leading to doubts about whether you've taken the wrong path. But all you need is a little patience~ After crossing the bridge, you'll truly enter the forest, immediately surrounded by greenery, with crystal-clear streams bringing a refreshing coolness. 🌲 The most challenging part of the hike is the uphill section near Hatono's Nest, with twists and turns and some steps that are quite large, not very friendly for those with short legs... 😅 You'll need to use your hands and feet to climb seriously, but you won't regret it. The view from the top is absolutely stunning. ⛰️ #WhereAreTheGirlsWild #CapturingThisMoment #SeekingWildOutdoors #JapanTravel #TokyoTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #UnderratedHiddenGem #EscapeToQuaintTowns
