Omaha Pilgrimage 🌄

Hoping to achieve some quantum entanglement with Mr. Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway, I embarked on this exploration. (1) Omaha is even bigger than Lincoln, the capital of Nebraska. It’s “economically vibrant, quiet, and comfortable”—free from the hustle and bustle of a big city (except during the annual shareholders meeting in May). Being here instantly makes you feel calm and enlightened 🧘‍♂️💡. It becomes clear why Buffett chose Omaha: it keeps him “away” from the market noise but “closer” to sound judgment. Wall Street brings you near trading, but often far from true value. Here’s the itinerary: (2) Borsheim’s 💎: Bought some souvenirs at this jewelry store—not exactly cheap, but tastefully lightweight luxury. Silver items go for tens to hundreds of dollars, 18K gold from a few hundred up, and small gemstones from several hundred to thousands. While it’s known for good value, high turnover, ultra-low overhead, and impressive revenue (once the second-highest single-store sales after Tiffany’s in NYC), what really drives its success is Buffett’s fame. Followers and believers flock here, lifting its reputation and revenue. (3) The Legend’s Home 🏡: Better not to disturb the master’s privacy. I drove by—a friend took a photo from outside. 📸 (4) Blackstone Plaza 🏢: The Berkshire Hathaway headquarters. Just a few dozen people managing trillions in assets. Absolutely legendary. 💼🔥 (5) Nebraska Furniture Mart 🛋️: Didn’t spot much of a “Buffett vibe” here—it feels like a traditional furniture market. What stood out to me was the lack of Chinese brands, so I wasn’t too intrigued. If I had to highlight something, it’d be their customer-centric approach: offering personalized solutions for every home scenario and staying true to their value proposition of “creating value for customers.” (6) The Steakhouse 🥩: The T-bone’s gone up in price, but wow—it’s delicious! You can go for medium-rare or medium (I prefer medium-rare—so tender!). A 22-ounce cut might be too much for most girls though. 😋 #WarrenBuffett #Omaha #ValueInvesting #Pilgrimage
