We came here after having an awful experience at Gundersons. Borsheims is known for being the best jeweler in Omaha, which is why we chose it… expecting the best but unfortunately didnt have that experience. We ordered the engagement ring in May of 24, picked it up in July. I sized at an 5.5 & they recommended keeping it at this size, but later told me that the style of ring I chose usually is a little bigger of a fit than a standard ring… so not really sure why they didn’t recommend sizing down. Absolutely stunning. I was on cloud nine. The next day I noticed the stone was tilted; and the ring was too big so I had to have it resized smaller down the road. We were getting married at the end of July, so I held onto it because I wanted my ring at my wedding. When I brought the ring in, all blame was placed on me stating that “you must have bumped it on something, the stone doesn’t just come loose like that”. Whatever, it is what it is. So they sent it to A Jaffey to get that fixed, along with resizing and adding the wedding band. A Jaffey also “redesigned the ring” so that the stone wouldn’t come loose. Within a month the stone comes loose again. So once again, I bring it back (and I never even had my ring for our reception party- huge disappointment), they send it back to have it tightened, and a few months later, same thing happens. And both times, again, the blame is placed on me… even though this ring has already been redesigned due to an initial flawed design. So my husband brings it back the week of Christmas- the manager he was talking to told him that we should make the bucket gold instead of rose gold because it isn’t as flimsy (why would I want a gold bucket on a rose gold ring- and if it was flimsy from the get go, why was this not mentioned to us? Our initial salesperson was there and by her remark, my husband made it seem like the manager had no idea what he was talking about because she goes oh I didn’t know that, and she has a TON of experience!!)- he was told I would hear from them within the next few weeks after talking with A Jaffey- I called and they said they haven’t heard anything but would call and let me know what they say… a week passes, again nothing. I finally got through to someone and, once again, A Jaffey is going to completely redesign my ring. So if this is now the second time of them redesigning it, one would assume it is flawed and not the customers fault, right? Apparently not. This time around they had my ring for nearly 8 weeks. I called to talk to someone in customer service about when I could pick up, and she was extremely rude and condescending. I believe her name was Deb or Debbie, but I can’t recall. I told her i received a call without a voicemail and assume my ring was ready. She was very short with me stating that “no one called”, as I’m literally looking at my missed call log. I asked if they keep record of calls and she said no- so I said how would she know that someone wasn’t trying to reach me? I am not an emotional person, but by the end of this call I was in tears. guess what, two minutes later someone calls me who was trying to reach me earlier- so thank you Debbie for making me seem insane! I finally asked to speak to the salesperson I had been working with and she informed me that they completely redesigned the ring & added a full bucket to the stone instead of just on two sides- they said oh you won’t be charged for this, it’s on us- it SHOULD be for how many times this has been fixed. I finally got my ring back at the end of February. I haven’t had any issues with it since then & I’ve been treating it exactly how I had been… so clearly this entire time it was my not fault, considering them having to redesign the ring not once, but TWICE. This isn’t even an unordinary ring- it’s a 3 ct stone… how does the jeweler NOT know how to secure this? People have bigger diamonds then this all the time. Sandy O & Aaron M overall were great to work with- but the ball felt dropped numerous times. Customer service was terrible & I truly hope no one has the same...
Read moreBorshiems Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at borsheims. I really expected a much better experience than what me and my wife got. At first we were treated great! Our salesman was super helpful (so we thought) and helped us pick out an engagement ring and wedding band. We browsed for some time and the wife decided on a ring she really loved. Our sales man talked about how it was one of kind and how special the ring was but That was just a bonus as we just loved the ring. Mind you the cost total was $14,000
Our first red flag we didn’t catch was our salesman didn’t size my wife’s finger for the rings… but our salesman did say we can always come back and resize the rings since we were getting married October 12 2024 to be exact.
Once we were married we brought our rings back to get the resized. We were talking with the customer service lady who said she needed to get our salesman. When he came back he told us we can’t resize the rings and would need to order new ones (so much for one of kind rings!) Red flag #2 which we sorta questioned but ultimately didn’t know what to do but trust the company. My wife’s finger was sized and the new rings were supposed to ordered in a size 6. We were told that our salesman would reach out once they arrived.
We waited and waited and finally I called two weeks after we dropped them off and were told “oh ya your rings are in”. So much for a phone call. We went down to borsheims to look at them before we soldered them together. The engagement ring was a new size 6 but the wedding band was still a 6.5. We told them that they were supposed to be both size 6’s. Our salesman was standing in customer service with us and said “well if you solder them together one has to be bigger than the other and once they’re soldered they cannot be undone but if you decide to not solder come see me and I’ll order a size 6”. Red flag #3 which that didn’t sit right with me. I spoke to the two customer service people and a jeweler who both confirmed that what we were told was not true and that both rings could be a size 6.
We told them that we wanted them to be both to be size 6. They promised that they would both be a size 6 and not to worry they’re going to be “perfect”. We got the call that my wife’s ring was soldered and ready for pickup. I went down to pick it up and what do you know the rings were not sized to a 6 one was still a size 6.5. Now I have a $14,000 ring that is uneven and cannot be reversed according to our salesman. I informed the customer service gal who then said “one has to be bigger than the other”. Me and my wife finally had enough of borsheims. 10+ trips to borsheims and countless phone calls is ridiculous.
Not only did I have a jacked up ring I also was being charged randomly on my bank account. I closed an old bank account so I thought and I had the old bank account on the borsheims website but deleted it to add a new account. Come to find out some way somehow they were charging my old account and new account $600. This caused me to overdraft and was told there’s nothing they can do for 4 days.
We decided to get a refund and take our money elsewhere. I truly hope nobody else has to endure this type...
Read moreThe experience my husband and I had at Borsheims was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to their incredible consultant, Sandy. From the moment we stepped into the store, we were warmly greeted by the staff, and Sandy's welcoming smile instantly put us at ease.
Right from the beginning, it was evident that Sandy was passionate about her work and genuinely cared about providing a memorable shopping experience. She took the time to chat with us to get to know us, our preferences, and the reason behind our visit.

She guided us through the store's stunning collections, explaining the intricate details and answering every question we had. Her deep knowledge of gemstones, metals, and designs showcased her years of experience and dedication to her craft.
What truly set Sandy apart was her ability to make us feel like the most important shoppers in the store. She genuinely wanted us to find the perfect ring that resonated with our tastes and preferences. It was evident that her goal was to create a meaningful connection with her customers, and she succeeded admirably.
Her attentive nature extended beyond just the jewelry selection. Sandy ensured we were comfortable throughout our visit, offering refreshments and even a cozy seating area when we needed a moment to discuss our choices privately. It was like being in the company of a close friend who wanted the best for us.
In addition to Sandy's exceptional service, the store itself was a treasure trove of exquisite jewelry pieces. The variety and quality of their collections were outstanding, catering to various tastes and budgets.
