On my food exploration journey in Rochester

On my food exploration journey in Rochester, a restaurant called Trata is definitely a hidden gem I would revisit again and again. The first time I stepped inside, I was completely captivated by its elegant ambiance, attentive service, and absolutely stunning dishes. ✹ First, the atmosphere is exceptionally cozy and refined, with soft lighting and thoughtfully arranged tables. The restaurant has recently added an eye-catching wine wall—simply ask your server for a special card, and you can head downstairs to pour your own wine selections, which adds a fun and interactive twist to the dining experience! đŸ· We ordered the Beet Root and Goat Cheese Salad, which turned out to be a feast of colors and textures! The beets were roasted to a tender, sweet perfection, paired with rich and creamy goat cheese. The real surprise was the addition of roasted hazelnuts—each nut was coated with a thin layer of caramel, offering a delightful sweet crunch that elevated the entire salad. The fried goat cheese balls were also enjoyable—crispy on the outside and soft inside—though compared to the other elements of the salad, they were more on the classic side. We also added smoked salmon, and the tender fish blended beautifully with the salad—a combination I highly recommend! đŸ„—đŸŸ The star of the evening, however, was the RagĂč pasta, which was the day’s special. This dish can only be described as “breathtaking”—wide, al dente pasta generously coated in a rich, savory tomato-based meat sauce, topped with a whole fresh and creamy burrata cheese. The moment I cut into the burrata, its silky, luscious center slowly flowed out, mingling with the warm ragĂč. Every bite was a perfect harmony of creamy, meaty, and pasta goodness. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this combination? đŸ€ One mouthful and I was in absolute bliss! Throughout the meal, the service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and always timely with water refills and plate changes. Our server also patiently explained the highlights of each dish, making the experience even more enjoyable. Dining in such a perfect setting truly lifted my spirits and allowed me to relax completely. Overall, Trata excels in ambiance, service, and cuisine, especially that standout ragĂč pasta—a dish worth returning for. Overall rating: 8.6/10 🌟 If you’re ever in Rochester, don’t miss this delightful restaurant! #RochesterFood#Rochester#RocFoodie#RochesterNY#FoodExploration#HiddenGem#FoodDiary#ItalianCuisine#WineExperience
