One-Day Bandung Itinerary
Bandung’s famous volcanic landscapes include Tangkuban Perahu (northern route) and Kawah Putih (southern route). Though far apart, visiting both in one day is totally doable with good planning! 🚗 Private Car Recommendation We traveled during Indonesian New Year (a busy holiday), so we booked a driver via Traveloka in advance. Alternatively, you can contact a driver directly—our private car cost 1 million IDR. Bandung traffic is often congested, especially on holidays, so we recommend departing before 7:30 AM for a smoother trip. 🏞 Itinerary First Stop: Kawah Putih (White Crater) We headed to Kawah Putih first. The weather was perfect, and the lake shimmered in a surreal milky blue—absolutely stunning! The high altitude makes it chilly, so bring a jacket. Stroll along the lake to admire the unique volcanic scenery. 📌 Entrance Fee (Weekday): 122K IDR 🅿️ Parking Fee: 18K IDR Second Stop: Tangkuban Perahu Volcano In the afternoon, we explored Ratu Crater, the main viewpoint. Standing at the edge of the massive volcanic crater was awe-inspiring! For a closer experience, visit Domas Crater—you can soak in hot springs, boil eggs, or even get a volcanic mud massage. 📌 Entrance Fee (Weekday): 200K IDR | Holiday (New Year): 300K IDR 🅿️ Parking Fee: 40K IDR 🏙 Return & City Exploration We left at 8:30 AM and returned to Bandung by 5:50 PM. If you’re up for nightlife, ask your driver to drop you off at Bandung’s shopping streets for dinner and evening strolls. Want tips on traveling from Jakarta to Bandung?
