📍 One-Day Trip to Bristol
Since my first arrival in the UK in June 2019, the photos show my fifth visit to Bristol in May 2023 . I know this city particularly well, having spent several months here with a host family during the COVID-19 lockdown. Today, I’d like to share my Bristol travel guide with you! ✏️ 📌 Clifton Suspension Bridge BS8 3JX This was our first stop, and we took a taxi directly here. Behind me is the Clifton Observatory—entry to the viewing platform costs £5 (tickets available online or on-site). The view from the top is nice, but not drastically different. 🌉 📌 Ambrose Road BS8 4RY We walked 🚶 from the Clifton Bridge to the famous Rainbow Houses (about 21 mins). If the weather’s nice, walking is a great choice! 👍 I firmly believe that the best way to explore a city is to wander every corner of it! The Rainbow Houses are super photogenic—a must-visit for photo lovers! 📸🌈 📌 Cabot Tower (in Brandon Hill Park) BS1 5RR On sunny days, the park is full of people reading books 📖 or relaxing. Climbing to the top of the tower gives you a 360° panoramic view of Bristol. Fun fact: The University of Bristol’s iconic Law School building is just across the street! 📌 Wills Memorial Building BS8 1RJ If you want to visit the top, you can book in advance on the official website 🔅. ⚠️ Tours are only available on Saturdays at 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM, lasting about 1-1.5 hours (£5 per ticket). 📌 Bristol Cathedral BS1 5TJ In the UK, a city is defined not by its population but by whether it has a cathedral! Like Brandon Hill Park, the area in front of the cathedral is perfect for sunbathing on weekends—people sprawl on the grass, enjoying the free sunshine. ☀️ 📎 Route map available! If it’s your first time in Bristol, these are my top recommended spots! Bristol also has many great nearby destinations, like Bath (just 15 mins by train). I’ll share a Bath travel guide soon! #UK #Bristol #TravelUK #StudyAbroad #LifeAesthetics #London #StudentLifeInUK
