One-Day Trip to Brussels
After visiting Base Design, I spent a leisurely day exploring Brussels. Known not only for its rich history and unique chocolates but also as a shining gem in the field of art and design, Brussels is a blend of classical, modern, and post-modern Brutalist styles. The city is like a vast canvas where various styles are merged together. 😊🎨🍫 The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique) houses treasures from the Middle Ages to the contemporary period, immersing visitors in a river of history. 🏛️🖼️ The Magritte Museum, on the other hand, features the works of the surrealist master René Magritte, showcasing his imaginative genius and his significant contribution to modern art, as well as his profound influence on modern graphic design. 🌟🎨 Walking through the streets and alleys of Brussels, you’ll find that the city not only boasts elegant Art Deco buildings, such as the Art Nouveau architectural complexes, but also has its raw and gritty sides, all contributing to the city’s fabric. 🏙️🛤️ These contradictory elements coexist, precisely forming the unique charm of Brussels, fostering a vibrant and inclusive underground culture and art scene that fills the city with vitality and tolerance. 🌈🎵 #Brussels #ArtTrip #RoyalMuseumsOfFineArts #MagritteMuseum #ArtAndDesign #EuropeanCulture
