One-Day Trip to Segovia from Madrid
Before the big chill sets in, the troops decided to head to Segovia for some fun on the weekend! Segovia is really popular; all the good time slots for tickets were sold out, and the walk from home to the bus stop is super far. In the end, we decided to rent a car and drive ourselves, saving time but not the driver’s energy. Recommend a really convenient car rental app in Spain: Amovens. Thanks to it, our trip was saved; otherwise, it would have been a bust. (Stay tuned for an explanation of Amovens, but it’s simple and convenient!) 🌟 Means of Transportation 🌟: Bus and train (already forgot the details since we drove, but recommend the bus as it goes directly to the town) 🌟 Itinerary 🌟: The first thing we saw after getting off was a charming alley near the aqueduct. Walking up, we could see the aqueduct and took lots of photos from different angles. 🌟We strolled through some alleys from the Plaza Mayor. From the square, you can see the Segovia Cathedral, which requires a ticket to enter. 🌟Next, we set off for the castle of Snow White 👸. The castle on the cliff is especially beautiful. You need to buy a ticket to enter, 7 euros for a regular ticket, or 10 euros to go up to the tower. When we went, only regular tickets were left. Inside, the many murals and the chill in the air were quite chilly, and the wind was incredibly strong that day! 🌟As it got darker, we slowly made our way back along the city walls, saw the sunset and the night view, which was quite fulfilling, even though it was only 6 PM. 🌟In the end, we decided to try the famous roasted suckling pig. To be honest, it’s pricey and nothing special… but since we were already there~ 🌟We drove back leisurely, and our one-day trip ended perfectly. #Segovia #SegoviaRoastedSucklingPig #Madrid #LivingInMadrid #TravelInSpain #MadridWeekend #TravelGuide #OffTheBeatenPath #SpainTravelGuide #Spain
