🌊 One of My Favorite Seaside Restaurants in Whitby
📸 I recently revisited the seaside town next to my old school, Whitby. The weather wasn’t great, but the temperature in British summer is still very comfortable. I also had to indulge in what is claimed to be the best fish and chips in England once more. - 🍟 Whitby has countless fish and chip shops, and it’s hard to go wrong, but watch out for the seagulls overhead! I’ve had hot dogs snatched from me more than once. Besides the street shops, one place I highly recommend is The Fisherman’s Wife, located at the end of the road. I’ve eaten here many times, and the quality is consistently good, making it my favorite seaside restaurant in North Yorkshire. - 🦞 The dish I enjoy the most is the Mussels in a creamy wine broth; it’s rich and the mussels are large and fresh. I can finish a large portion by myself; the oysters are also a must-try, incredibly fresh and delicious, especially with a squeeze of lemon juice; the fish and chips are excellent too, a Whitby specialty. Eating in the restaurant ensures the crispy batter stays that way, and no worries about seagulls. A small portion is quite substantial; the Prawn Cocktail is the best starter, with a refreshing sauce and plenty of prawns. - 🦀 The seafood platter is decent value for money, but nothing exceptional. There’s a Special Menu each day, but it’s not particularly surprising. If you see something you like, give it a try. The restaurant is quite popular with locals, so it’s best to visit on a non-weekend day or make a reservation. - 🌟 Name: The Fisherman’s Wife Whitby 💰 Average cost: £20-30 #HiddenGemRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #TravelDiary #UKTravel #Manchester #Whitby #SeasideRestaurant
