Only 3 Things I Recommend Doing in Brisbane!

My second time in Brisbane, and I discovered even more fun stuff! 1️⃣ Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary 🦘 A zoo where you can get up close and personal with kangaroos! Hang out with dozens of them—feed them, pet them, take photos together! You’d never get to do this in zoos back home 😎 I was kinda scared at first, thinking I might get punched… but turns out I was overthinking it 🙃 They’re super gentle, some even just lie around ignoring people 😴 Brave souls, try feeding the kangaroo in p1—it’s even taller than a person! 🥹 2️⃣ Whale Watching 🐋 A must-do from July to August in Australia! It’s humpback whale migration season, so spotting them is almost a given 🥰 You can depart from several piers in Brisbane or the Gold Coast—pick what suits you. But! I highly recommend 📍 Redcliffe! ⭐ If you get seasick, book a VIP cabin (RACQ members get 10% off!). It includes free meals and drinks 🍜☕ The ride is smooth while moving, but when the boat stops… it turns into a pirate ship 🏴‍☠️💀 Better bring motion sickness pills—there’s a chemist right across the pier! Whale sightings aren’t 100% guaranteed, but if you don’t see any, you get a free retry! We were super lucky—the captain and crew were pros at tracking whales! We saw at least 8 groups of whales 🐋 and a huge pod of dolphins playing 🐬 We saw them breathing, tail slapping, and breaching—all depending on their mood. Breaching is rare though! It was absolutely breathtaking seeing them up close from the boat. Even the “teenager” whales were huge—nature is amazing!! 🌊💙 3️⃣ Haeduri Chicken City 🍗 I always have the UFO fried chicken here!! Highly recommend the garlic flavor 🧄 Also try the mayo rice and seafood noodles—soooo good! 😋 Back in Guangzhou, there’s nothing like it… broke my heart a little 🥲 There’s another branch near Garden City in the south, but the menu is totally different. Go to the one in the city—the best dishes are only there! 🏙️ #Australia #SummerTrip #Brisbane #WhaleWatching 🌏🐳✨
