Oslo, Norway | Lorry Restaurant: A Norwegian Dining Experience

1. Many restaurants were closed for the Labor Day holiday, but this one was open for business. 🎉 2. Located near the Royal Palace in Oslo, this restaurant is super convenient. 👍 3. According to Google and Yelp, this place serves Norwegian cuisine—what we might call "authentic Norwegian dishes." 🍽️ 4. The restaurant has two floors and an outdoor dining area. The interior is richly decorated, and even the first page of the menu feels like a collector's item. It's like dining in a collector's home. 🏠 5. After watching the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, I arrived at the restaurant around 2 PM. The outdoor area was almost full, mostly with people enjoying drinks. I sat inside for a proper meal, where there were only a few tables occupied. By the time I finished around 4 PM, the restaurant was packed, with many people waiting for tables—mostly for dinner. 🕒 6. I ordered five dishes. They didn't feel particularly Norwegian; they seemed like regular Western cuisine. The Arctic shrimp in the salad were delicious and could be considered a specialty. Maybe the dinner menu, which isn't available at lunch, has more authentic local dishes. 🍔 7. Everyone says that prices in the Nordic countries are high. My total bill was over 1,000 NOK, which is about 900 RMB. I’m not sure what that means in terms of local dining standards, but this was the only proper meal I had in Oslo. 💸 #NorwayTravel #NorwegianLife #OsloTravel #OsloCuisine #HiddenRestaurantGem
