Oslo's Popular Restaurant Recommendation: Solsiden
On the way from the airport to the city, I came across this restaurant on my phone and immediately called to ask if there were seats available in an hour. It was a Monday, so it was relatively empty, and I successfully made a reservation, although I didn't get a window seat. People at this restaurant were dressed quite formally... I ordered the most famous dish here, plus a 3-course meal. The price for this dish is 1095 NOK per person (about 105 USD / 82 GBP), with a minimum order of 2 people (the price has increased significantly). The taste was quite good, with plenty of shrimp roe and a generous portion, so you won't leave hungry. The waiter explained that not all ingredients come from Norway, and it varies with the season. This season, three items come from abroad: shrimp from Greenland, crab from Scotland 🏴, and lobster from Canada, while the rest are from Norway. Overall, the taste and view were good, but the price was a bit high. Of course, it's about trying something new, just for the experience and to enjoy the meal. It was a pity it was cloudy, or it would have been very beautiful. You can take the number 12 Tram from the train station and get off nearby, then walk along the harbor to get there. #TrendyRestaurant #Oslo #OsloFood #OsloEats #Seafood #Shrimp
