Oxford & Cambridge | 2-Day Tour of Two Super Universities & Their Tow

As two of the world's top universities, Oxford and Cambridge are enveloped in a profound academic atmosphere—it feels like everyone walking out of there is a Nobel Prize winner 😂. Since both towns are well-connected to London by high-speed rail, I recommend staying in North London—close to the station and no transfers needed! 🗺️ Itinerary: Cambridge & Oxford ✨ Day 1: Cambridge Take the train to Cambridge Station (about 1 hour). Arrive around noon, have lunch, then start exploring. 🍽️ Little Petra – A hidden gem Middle Eastern restaurant. Must-tries: osmanthus cake 🍰 and lamb soup. Their signature salad 🥗 is an acquired taste—show the staff this to order: “One osmanthus cake, lamb soup, and the signature salad.” 🚣 Cambridge Punting Tickets here are under £20! Don’t make my mistake—avoid buying at the station (£35 per person 😭). The boat ride starts and ends at the same point, passing three bridges including the Bridge of Sighs. 🏛️ Cambridge University & Top 4 Colleges The punting drop-off is inside the university. My recommended colleges: Trinity College: Newton’s apple tree & Xu Zhimo’s memorial (ticket ~£10). King’s College Downing College Sussex College Don’t forget to visit the gift shops for souvenirs! ✨ Day 2: Oxford Similar vibe to Cambridge, but with different architecture. I divided Oxford into zones for easier exploring: 🍜 Food Zone Right by the station—perfect for lunch after you arrive. 🏛️ Central Colleges: Brasenose, All Souls, Trinity These are in the heart of Oxford, packed with iconic buildings. 🌳 Magdalen & Merton Colleges Located on the east side, these colleges blend with botanical gardens and a large park. Great for a sunny stroll! ⚡ Harry Potter Filming Spot: Christ Church Where Quidditch scenes and Hogwarts interiors were filmed! 🎫 £12 per person—worth it for photos. #LifeInUK #MyStudyAbroad #StudyInUK #CambridgeUniversity #OxfordUniversity #Cambridge #Oxford #UKTravel #UKStudents #UKTourism #UKFood #UKMasters #OxfordTravel #CambridgeTravel ✨
