Oxford | Finally Tried This Epic Steak Platter! 🥩✨

📍 Chester Arms I’d seen this place recommended so many times but never made it because it’s a bit out of the way. Yesterday, after playing squash, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves – and it was totally worth it! Tucked away in a small alley off Iffley Road, the pub is surrounded by quiet neighborhoods, but step inside and it’s buzzing with energy! We didn’t book a table but only waited 5 minutes – not bad! The menu isn’t huge – mainly steaks, plus classics like fish & chips and burgers. We went for the Steak Platter at Medium rare – and wow, the portion was massive! Enough for two hungry girls (we were stuffed!), but ideal for three. The meat was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly with no bloodiness. Served with shredded cabbage, fries, and a side salad – balanced and not too heavy. Perfect for slow eating and chatting! 🍟🥗 We also tried the Lamb Kofta starter – delicious but a bit salty (like most meat dishes here). Good idea to pair it with a drink! 🍺 The pub is covered in Polaroid photos of dogs – covering beams and walls.
