Pakistan travel guide--Skardu
The Shangrila Resort, built beside a lake, is Skardu’s postcard-perfect landmark. 🏨📸 (Though the lake is man-made—which slightly dampened my excitement. 😅) This was my first stop and my first glimpse of autumn leaves in vibrant hues, their reflections shimmering on the water—a moment of quiet awe. 🍁✨ Further up lies Upper Kachura Lake, nestled in the mountains. 🏞️❄️ Serene, secluded, and with a touch of icy grandeur. Before reaching the lake, you pass through dense autumn forests, their golden leaves a striking contrast to the clear blue waters. 🍂💙 Yet, something was missing—the vast grasslands I long for. 🌾😔 Here, the trees scatter sporadically, never quite gathering in force. 🌲🌲 The mountains loom tall and aloof, barren and rugged, their muted tones bearing the subtle marks of time—unassuming, yet profound. ⛰️⏳ #SkarduDiaries #AutumnInPakistan 🍂🏔️
