Palm Springs | Two Must-Try Restaurants in the Desert Oasis 🌵🍽️

Escaping to sunny Palm Springs for a getaway? While hotel meals and snacks are convenient, these two sit-down restaurants truly stood out! 1️⃣ Tac/Quila 🌮 This wildly popular Mexican spot won over even someone who rarely eats Mexican food! Despite a 30-minute wait for dinner on a weekday, the service was warm and dishes came out lightning-fast. We ordered a feast: • Grilled Shrimp & Chicken Street Tacos – Served with fragrant rice, beans, and freshly made salsa. • Short Rib Enchiladas – Tender, slow-braised beef wrapped in soft tortillas. • Beef Fajita – Elevates steak to a whole new level of flavor. • Trio Quesadillas (shrimp, beef, zucchini) – Each variety was delicious! Our entire family loved every bite. This was my first time tasting Mexican cuisine this good! 2️⃣ French Rotisserie Cafe 🇫🇷 Located near our resort, we chose this French bistro for dinner one night. The ambiance was lovely! • French Onion Soup – Topped with a thick, golden layer of baked cheese; the broth was rich yet not overpowering. • Boeuf Bourguignon – Tender beef braised in red wine, served over creamy golden mashed potatoes. • Moroccan-Style Lamb Shank – Succulent and flavorful with no gaminess. • Rotisserie Chicken with Pasta (kids’ menu) – The chicken was fragrant but undercooked. We sent it back and received a perfectly cooked, juicy replacement—though the staff’s excuses were a letdown. • Crème Brûlée – Decent, but not unforgettable. Verdict: ✅ Tac/Quila – Absolutely worth the hype! Will return. ⚠️ French Rotisserie Cafe – Great food overall, but service could be more attentive. #PalmSpringsEats #DesertFoodie #MexicanCuisine #FrenchBistro #TravelAndDine #FoodRecs #PalmSpringsGuide
