Paphos | Birthplace of the Love Goddess Aphrodite ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’–(1)

๐ŸŸ๏ธPaphos was our first stop in Cyprus ๐Ÿ๏ธ, a coastal city renowned primarily for its vacation vibes. ๐Ÿ’–However, since our main holiday itinerary was set for Ayia Napa on the eastern side of the island, we didn't linger long in Paphos. Yet, in the limited time we had, we managed to check off a few breathtaking spots that are highly recommended ๐Ÿ“ธ. ๐Ÿ–๏ธAccording to Greek mythology, Aphrodite (Venus), one of the twelve Olympian gods, was said to have been born in Paphos. Driving about 20 minutes from downtown Paphos, you can reach the Rock of Aphrodite ๐ŸŒŠ. Regardless of the myth's credibility, the surrounding beauty here is enough to convince me that this is indeed where the goddess of love was born ๐Ÿ’–. The winding coastal road near the Rock of Aphrodite is simply stunning, giving me a flashback to California's Highway 1 ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ. ๐ŸŒ… The only regret is that this stretch of coastal road is relatively short, making the drive less exhilarating than it could be. #Paphos #Cyprus #GlobalTravel #SelfDrive
