La Bonne Mer A friend highly recommended this restaurant after their trip to Paris. The pictures were so enticing that I had to make a reservation. The restaurant is located away from the tourist areas, and it's small and narrow. If it weren't for the quality of the food, I probably wouldn't have gone. The restaurant specializes in seafood, using very simple seasonings to bring out the freshness of the seafood. It's a bit of a hassle to call for a reservation, but it's definitely worth a try. 🦪🦪 Oysters, a must-try when in France. The oysters here aren't particularly large, but they are incredibly fresh and plump, with a subtle taste of the sea and a creamy texture, making for a great appetizer. The price for the oysters is reasonable, so oyster lovers can indulge without breaking the bank. 🐟🐠 Fried Fish, the batter is not thick, and the fish is firm and fresh. Served with tomato sauce, the flavors are well-balanced, with the slight tanginess of the tomato sauce cutting through the slight greasiness of the fried fish. The addition of lime brings a refreshing twist, and the dish is quickly devoured. 🐙🐙 Octopus, a dish I absolutely love. The octopus is cooked just right, with a chewy texture that isn't overly soft. Simply seasoned and pan-fried with olive oil, the focus is entirely on the freshness of the octopus. We gobbled it up in no time and regretted not ordering a larger portion, as the small plate was not enough 😂😂😂. 🐟🐙🦐 Seafood Mixed Plate, essentially a dish that includes whatever ingredients are available that day. A large plate with mussels, shrimp, clams, and octopus. It's a medley of herbs and a generous amount of seafood. The seafood is fresh and delicious, but the broth at the bottom is the real treasure, capturing all the flavors of the seafood. Extra bread is a must to soak up the delicious seafood juices, utterly satisfying. The fried fish that others ordered looked fantastic as well. But we were too full to try it. If you don't mind venturing slightly away from the city center, I highly recommend this小众 seafood restaurant. It's sure to surprise you.
