Paris | African Cuisine Safe Landing, Amazing❗️❗️
African cuisine has always been a mysterious entity in my mind. I’ve never had African food before and had no idea what Africans eat, only hearing that they cook plantains in water. After coming out of the chocolate exhibition with a friend, we decided to try something new and found this African restaurant in the center of Paris. It’s quite niche and not much talked about online, but it was truly, truly amazing! 🍌 Appetizer: We ordered fried banana skewers, and the texture of fried bananas was a really unique experience, very soft, and the bananas were huge. Plus, the owner’s homemade spicy sauce was super satisfying (and it was really spicy). 🥩 Main Course: We had mafa meat, which is a stewed beef with a hint of spiciness, combined with carrots and onions. It was truly, truly impressive. It’s perfect for those trying African cuisine for the first time. My friend and I couldn’t stop praising it! The meat sauce mixed with rice was out of this world! The beef was tender to the perfect degree, and the chickpeas inside were so aromatic with a slight grease that it was heavenly 🤩 I heard the owner lived in another country for several years, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and comfortable, without the stiff feeling you sometimes get in French restaurants! Eating this on a cold day, my stomach felt so warm and happy ☺️ #Paris #ParisCuisine #ParisFoodExploring #ParisFoodCheckIn #ParisFoodRecommendations #ParisAfricanCuisine #AfricanCuisine #France
