Tried Senegalese food for the first time at this very friendly place in Paris. They even have a small kids corner.
We had Yassa Chicken and Pan prawns with curry, all with rice. Loved the food which was delicious and had the right balance of spices. I was not sure what juice to pick and was leaning very favorably toward the exotic Baobab fruit juice when we were presented with samplers of all three juices on the menu: Hibiscus, Baobab, and Ginger. Picked Baobab in the end and did not regret it.
Service was excellent. The person attending to us was the kindest and took care to listen to each and everything that we had to say. She also gave us a cup of their spicy, hot sauce to taste. I left a happy person after my dinner at Le Petit Dakar. Would love to go...
Read moreThe restaurant was nice but I had a few problems with my food, the prawns were way overcooked and my chicken yassa was the same, overcooked and dry chicken. The sauce was nice and they have a hot chili sauce which I appreciated.
Waiting time was a bit extreme, 20min before we managed to order as the waitress was alone, another 40min for the starters to get to the table and the mains arrived after 20min once we had finished the starters. If you are impatient this isn't a restaurant for you.
Prices are a bit on the high note for a restaurant considering the food was too overcooked.

Read moreNice cosy place in a pretty sublim surroundings. Food especially tchieboudienne that we've ordered was only above average. In regard to the real deal its a pale copy of what your mouth should have tasted. A couple of ingredients were missing and the beverages were sugar filled but not with the taste of those plants (ginger, hibiscus, etc...) that should have exploded in the mouth. So i do recommand it for a Nice little escapade out of common Food found in Paris...yet, for those Who know it still has to improve to justify dish...
