Paris | Stumbled Upon a Delicious Caribbean Restaurant 🏝️🍴

I was originally on my way to try the best black chicken in Paris' 2nd arrondissement, but it turned out they had closed at 14h47. So, I had to whip out Google Maps to see what other tasty options were around. That's when I unexpectedly found Big Black Cook with a high rating of 4.8 on Google, which sounded like African cuisine, so I decided to give it a bold try. The staff informed me that it's not African cuisine, but Caribbean, which is somewhat different. No problem, though—I was actually just craving fried plantains. 🌴🍹I ordered a Cuban specialty that came with fried plantains as a side dish, and it was delicious! The beef was stewed to perfection, tender and succulent, and it went really well with the sauce and rice. There was also red onion pickles that helped to balance out the richness of the stew. After the meal, I ordered one of their homemade desserts to finish off the meal. Today's dessert was mango and coconut flavored—a cheesecake at the bottom, a layer of coconut mousse in the middle, topped with mango sauce and sprinkled with chopped peanuts 🥜. Personally, I didn't particularly enjoy it; I'm not sure if it was because I was full, but I found it a bit too rich. However, friends who love coconut and mango might want to give it a try. Let me know if you like it or not~ #RestaurantRecommendation #ExploreAndDine #WanderingTheStreets #FoodExploration #Paris #2ndArrondissement
