Paris - French Cuisine Extravaganza

Eating and drinking are the top priorities when it comes to having fun. In the bustling metropolis of Paris, how could one not experience the world-famous French cuisine? While strolling around the city, we found a restaurant with a decent Google Maps rating. We ordered a few signature French dishes: snails, foie gras, braised beef, and also tried some classic Western breakfast items. 😋🥘 Foie gras has a huge reputation, and we just had to give it a try. The foie gras was rich in flavor, but extremely high in fat; eating it straight up can be quite overwhelming. We tried spreading it on bread and sprinkling some coarse salt, which turned out to be a pretty good combination of texture and flavor. 🦆🍞🧂 Even so, most of the foie gras was left over, and in the end, it was a waste when we took it back. So, I suggest trying it if you’re in a group of four or more to satisfy the lifelong desire to taste French foie gras. 🥫 As for the snails, I had to psyche myself up for quite a while before taking a bite. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, not too terrifying, so you can eat it with confidence. The dish comes with a tool for digging out the meat, and the texture is similar to escargot. Maybe because French cuisine isn’t big on spicy spices, there’s a slight fishy taste. Overall, it’s not as scary as you might think, but it’s not particularly delicious either. If you’re curious, be brave and give it a try. 🐌🔧 The braised beef was my personal favorite; the beef was tender and flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, which was more to my liking. However, this dish seems to be available only once a week, not every day. 🍖🥔 The other two dishes were a ham omelette and a ham and cheese sandwich. They are actually breakfast items, but we wanted to take the opportunity to try them all at once, so we had them in the afternoon. Having one of these in the morning, paired with some juice or milk, would surely make for a fantastic day. 🍳🥪🍹 #Paris #FrenchCuisine #Food #FoieGras #Snails
