🎨 Today I visited the Grand Palais in Paris for Chiharu Shiota’s solo exhibition “Shaking Soul” to explore the new show! 🕐 Duration: December 11, 2024 - March 19, 2025 Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-19:30, open until 22:00 on Fridays, closed on Mondays. 💡 Highlights at a Glance This is the largest exhibition of the Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota in France, bringing together her representative works from the past 20 years! I got to see several massive installation artworks – a real visual feast! The gigantic installation with intertwining red and black threads creates a visually stunning and sensual atmosphere. Using threads as her medium, she explores profound themes such as life, memory, and time. The exhibition combines sculpture, photographs, drawings, and performance videos, showcasing Shiota’s artistic world in a comprehensive manner. The venue is the newly renovated Grand Palais in Paris, where the grand space under the glass dome makes each piece even more impactful. 🎟️ Ticket Prices General Admission €14, Concession €11, Free for under 18s. ⏰ Tips: • Make sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid queuing! • The venue is spacious, but it gets crowded on weekends. If you want to take photos without the crowds, try to avoid peak times! 📸 Full Experience Stepping into the exhibition hall is like being immersed in a gigantic “web,” where the intersecting lines seem to tell countless stories about life. The red wool installation art, in particular, is like a bloodstream or a link between the past and the future – highly recommended for a personal experience! ✨ Chiharu Shiota weaves the poetry of life with threads – definitely one of the must-visit exhibitions in Paris this year!
