Paris Exploration | A Bustling French Bistro with a Touch of Charm 🍽️
Always on the hunt for a good steakhouse in Paris 🥩, I'd heard that this place in the Marais district is always packed. Finally, last week, my friends and I managed to dine here~ The restaurant opens right on time, it's a small, retro French family-style space. It's best to make a reservation in advance 📅. An open kitchen and a charcoal grill (converted from a fireplace) are right there, allowing you to witness the sizzling, oily atmosphere of the meat being grilled. The menu is similar to other French restaurants but is famous for its steaks~ 🥗 Appetizers: Boudin noir: Recommended by the waitress, this blood sausage is pan-fried and looks a bit dark, emmm, but it tastes quite good. If you're not a fan of the fishy taste, be cautious with your order~ Terrine de foie gras de canard mi cuit: The taste is quite ordinary, similar to most French restaurants, with two different types of toasted bread slices + two small pieces of duck liver + fig jam. 🥘 Main Courses: There's a wide selection including chicken, duck, beef, lamb, and sausages. Of course, the must-order is their beef 🐂 (paired with red wine 🍷 for more depth, Burgundy is my favorite~) Entrecôte 🥩: The menu lists the specific cuts of beef. The aroma of the steak grilled over charcoal is matched with the simplest salt, black pepper (and Dijon mustard). Medium-rare to medium doneness locks in the tenderness of the beef. You can choose your side dishes (salad, roasted potato chunks...). Omelette aux champignons: Can be considered a Western-style thick omelette with mushrooms. It's full of creamy flavor, but I prefer the slightly runny Omelette inside. Côtes d’agneau🐑: Three small lamb chops, no mutton smell, the meat is tight and not woody. Served with salad and fried potatoes, it's refreshing and satisfying, quite delicious~ 🥧 Dessert: Crème brûlée 🍮: A classic French custard with a caramelized sugar crust that shatters to reveal a creamy, just-right sweetness, but it feels like a flavor you can find in any French restaurant. #Paris #FrenchLife #CozyGem #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #HiddenGemDessertShare #FoodDaily #ParisRestaurants #ParisLife #ParisExploration #ParisFood #ParisDaily
