Paris Hidden Gem | Michelin-Star Restaurant
I’d been curious about this place since I first passed by it. The exterior is so low-key, there’s no sign, just the striking red Michelin 2023 plaque on the wall. Finally had a chance to try it—and honestly, the food was full of surprises! With strong Israeli flavors, it’s perfect for those who love unique dining experiences. 🌍🍽️ 🍴 Ambiance As soon as you step in, you’re greeted by a U-shaped granite bar and an open kitchen at the center. Guests sit around the bar, watching the chefs in action. The walls, rugged and raw, echo the restaurant’s name, Shabour, meaning "broken," embracing both tradition and bold innovation. 🍽️ Food Shabour’s menu, The Voyagette, takes you on a culinary journey inspired by Israeli and Mediterranean flavors. Diners simply choose the number of courses (either 5 or 7) and whether they’d like wine pairing—no detailed menu at the start, keeping things delightfully mysterious. My favorite dish was Haminados—a soft-boiled egg with tahini foam, mulukhiyah, bottarga, and trout roe. The flavors were intense and melted in my mouth—an unforgettable experience! The unlimited bagels, coated with za'atar spice, were soft inside and crispy outside—I ended up eating two without realizing it. The chocolate mousse also left an impression, sprinkled with salt and drizzled with olive oil. It had an amazing balance of savory and sweet, with a smooth texture and hint of olive aroma. By the end, there was still a plate of sesame tahini cookies and fresh fruit, but I was already full! 👨🏻🍳 Chef Behind Shabour is renowned Israeli chef Assaf Granit. He’s the chef-owner of over a dozen restaurants in Jerusalem and London and has hosted the Israeli version of Kitchen Nightmares. 🔺 Note Reservations are a must, no walk-ins! 🌟 Michelin 1-Star 💰 ~100€ / person (lunch) #HighlyRecommendedLocalEats #MichelinRestaurantExploration #HiddenGemRestaurant #FoodieAdventure #GlobalFoodies #RomanticDining #ShabourParis #ParisMichelinRestaurant #AtmosphericDining #RestaurantBucketList
