Paris Suburbs | La Roche Guyon 🚗🏰
Just an hour's drive from Paris, within the Vexin français Regional Nature Park. This castle🏰 was named after its successive owners from the 12th to the 15th centuries, and it is now known as: Château de La Roche Guyon🏰. The only remains of the original castle are the keep at the highest point, which is connected to the current castle by 250 steep steps🔗. During World War II, the castle's cellars were temporarily requisitioned by the German army as an air combat command post. From the top of the castle, you can see a unique panorama of the chalk cliffs, the Seine River, and the small town. You can hike to the top for a panoramic view (next to the castle) 🍴Restaurant: 9 Rue du Général Leclerc, 95780 La Roche-Guyon There are few local restaurant options, and this is considered the largest French restaurant in the area. ‼️Pro Tip: It's recommended to wear sports shoes👟, as there will be a lot of climbing. #FrenchLife #WeekendGetaways #Paris #ParisSuburbs #Travel
