Parisian Japanese-French Sweets: mori yoshida

If you’ve done any research on Parisian desserts, you’ve probably heard of mori yoshida. I’ve been there twice and bought five different cakes, so here’s a quick review. —Regular Offerings— 🌰 Mont Blanc Chestnut Cake This is just amazing! The chestnut paste is very smooth and has a subtle hint of alcohol. The cream inside is not overly sweet and pairs perfectly with the chestnut paste. The base is extremely crispy but not greasy. There’s even a whole chestnut marinated in alcohol inside, which adds a delightful touch. Delicious! 🍃 Beige Earl Grey Cake This is described as an Earl Grey-flavored cake. The mousse part is very delicate, but I personally didn’t enjoy the cookie base as much. Maybe it felt a bit too rich by the time I got to it. 🍰 Flan This is a large, substantial piece. I actually had it for breakfast the next day after keeping it in the fridge overnight. The vanilla flavor is very strong. Despite being in the fridge, there was no oil seeping through the box, unlike the overly buttery pastries you often find in bakeries. It does a good job of balancing the sweetness. —Seasonal Limited Editions— 🍓 Strawberry Cake I had this in April. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but the overall sweetness was quite low, making it a refreshing option among European desserts. 🍒 Cherry Chocolate Cake The alcohol flavor is quite strong, mainly from the marinated cherries. It’s heavier than the Mont Blanc, but if you’re not a fan of alcohol flavors, be cautious. #ParisianExploration #JapaneseFrenchSweets #ParisianLife #DessertsHealEverything
