This cafe was extremely pristine and had the most perfect croissant I ever had, with its crispy outer shell that was baked for the perfect amount of time, allowing for the air to rise in the pastry, making it fluffy, while still retaining its buttery and soft tastefulness. Even a day later the croissant tasted as though it had just been baked a minute ago. I was so impressed with this cafe’s croissant and was definitely not disappointed, because I had just found the best croissant I had ever tasted. Even the macarons here were very delicious, as they were fluffy and had a very good texture to both the shell and the cream. I enjoyed the creativity and originality of the pastries made here, like their black sesame eclair and their pastry titled “M”, which is their signature treat created with maple syrup and chocolate, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. I read about Mori Yoshida and took a long long walk to get there. It was a weekday and no one was in the shop. I have to say two of the three products I tried were exceptionally delicious. The best item: the vanilla flan! Something to share with the person you love! The custard was light (like a cloud). The pastry was flaky and thick enough to hold up the slice custard. Incredible how they have something so simple be the winner. The other pastry I had was a tartlette au pomme. Also, the pastry was delectable with the sugar at the base caramelized. The thin slices of apple were tender but just firm enough that you don’t struggle taking a bite. Excellent. The cannelé was not good. The exterior was hard and the interior was rubbery.
