Peru | 3 Days & 2 Nights in the Amazon Rainforest

This time, we chose the rainforest near Puerto Maldonado in southeastern Peru. Hotel: Refugio Amazonas A 3-day, 2-night stay costs around 9,000 CNY, and it’s all-inclusive—you can enjoy the hotel’s services starting from the moment you exit the airport. There’s an office of theirs near the airport . The hotel stipulates that each person can only carry one small piece of hand luggage, so you need to store your large luggage at the office first and pack a small bag. It’s a 1.5-hour drive to the dock, then a 2-hour boat ride to the hotel. This hotel focuses on nature conservation—spotting animals during activities is all down to luck! Since it was the rainy season, it rained almost every day during our stay, so we didn’t hold out much hope for seeing wildlife. We just wanted to enjoy the experience, but luck was on our side, making it even better! We got up at 3 a.m. to take a boat out and watch parrots eat clay . Sailing on the Amazon River with zero light pollution, accompanied by flashes of lightning ⚡, thunder, and heavy rain—it was a scene straight out of a movie, with the sounds of various animals around. shows the breakfast the hotel prepared for us. The foreigners on the next boat were just munching on bread, but we had a full buffet on the boat—so satisfying, they must have been jealous 😜! At night, we followed the guide to look for insects, and the macro world came to life! The most surprising part: when we reached an open area, the guide told us to turn off our flashlights. Suddenly, the fireflies on the slopes on both sides started flickering—twinkling like little stars ✨! Oh my... It gave me goosebumps, like being in the Milky Way! On the last day, we thought we wouldn’t see capybaras, but luck struck again— a big group came to the river to drink water, so cute 🥰! These 3 days and 2 nights were amazing—great accommodation, delicious food, and fantastic experiences 👍! #AmazonRainforest #PeruTravel #Capybara #Parrot #SouthAmericaTravel
