Peter the Great's Summer Palace ⛲️ | Saint Petersburg
I visited on Russia’s Victory Day 🎖️, when many central roads were closed—but a local friend shared this super affordable route to Peterhof via metro + train! 🚇+🚄 Here’s how I did it: Peterhof sits on the shores of the Gulf of Finland, about 29 km from central Saint Petersburg. 🚇 Metro: From Nevsky Prospekt station, take the Blue Line (Line 2) toward Baltiyskaya (~15 min). 🚄 Train: At Baltiyskaya station, walk 5 mins to the Baltiysky train station. Take the Elektrichka (local train) toward Petrodvortsovaya. 🚕 Taxi: From Petrodvortsovaya station, take a taxi to Peterhof (only 200–300 RUB!). 🎫 Tickets: Student discounts available! Bring your ID. 💡 Tips for next time: Wear a fairy-tale dress 👗! It’ll look magical in photos. The main fountain area gets crowded—go in the afternoon for better light (midday sun causes backlighting ☀️📸). The seaside area is wonderfully cool 🌊—no wonder it’s a Russian summer paradise! #PeterhofPalace #SummerPalace #SaintPetersburg #PeterhofFountains #TravelRussia #BudgetTravel #HiddenGems
