Must-Visit Attractions 📍 The Hermitage Museum / Winter Palace Listen up—the Hermitage is the best value-for-money museum in the world. No joke! 😍 As one of the world’s top four museums, it blew my mind even though I’ve been to the other three. It’s got palace views rivaling Versailles AND world-class art collections 🖼️. Fair warning: the layout is confusing—it’s easy to get lost 😂. We spent 3 hours just skimming the second floor! 👉 Tip: Eat a big meal and set aside a full day if you want to see it properly. 📍 Palace Square The square in front of the Winter Palace looks incredibly beautiful lit up at night 🌟. The Christmas atmosphere here is unreal! Honestly, every attraction in St. Pete’s deserves both a day and night visit. Russian lighting aesthetics are next level! 📍 Nevsky Prospect The most famous shopping street in the city 🛍️. Don’t miss: Dom Knigi (historic bookstore) Eliseyev Emporium (century-old candy store 🍬) EUROSPAR (classic supermarket) ⛪ The “Big Three” Cathedrals Kazan Cathedral: The largest and most grand in scale. For great views, head to the café on the 2nd floor of Dom Knigi across the street ☕📸. Savior on the Spilled Blood: You can tell from the name it has a bloody history 💔. Its onion domes are iconic! St. Isaac’s Cathedral: Golden-domed—climb to the top for a panoramic view of the city 🌆. 📍 Smotrovaya Ploshchadka Gorodskoy Dumy Another fantastic city viewpoint 🏙️.
